For the Whole Family
Early Treatment (Phase I):
Just as “well-child” exams are important from your child’s pediatrician; your child’s initial orthodontic exams are just as important. The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that a child receives their first orthodontic exam by age 7. Some sleeping disorders, tongue and swallowing problems, and adverse jaw growth issues can be detected early and may involve working with your child’s ENT, allergist, or pediatrician. By starting treatment earlier, we can diagnose problems that may hinder proper dental and facial development. At Brockman Orthodontics, we are able to provide treatment and procedures before these issues become more serious.
Early orthodontic treatment focuses mainly on the correction of facial structures and relieving early signs of crowding. Correction of these issues may involve appliances and treatments that increase jaw width and growth patterns. Working on young patients who are actively growing allows for the best outcomes
During your child's initial exam, we will evaluate if there are any concerns that need to be addressed, such as proper facial development, crowding, crossbites, open bites, proper airway, and proper tongue position. The Phase I treatment plan will be individualized to meet your child’s needs.
We promise to make your child’s first visit special!
Adolescent Treatment (Phase II):
Adolescent treatment–sometimes referred to as Phase II treatment–consists of orthodontic procedures using fixed appliances (braces) or clear aligner therapy once the patient’s permanent teeth have erupted. Phase II orthodontic treatment provides cosmetic alignment of permanent teeth, the best fit of the teeth, and proper jaw position. By age 12, most problems can be diagnosed. These problems rarely self-correct and are easier to treat with the best results when caught early. At this age, we are able to treat and correct most abnormalities that may warrant surgery as an adult if left undetected.
Phase II treatment is timed to coincide with your child’s adolescent growth. As your child’s growth is at its peak, so is your child’s facial growth. During this pivotal growth time, we can achieve the best outcomes for our patients.
For many teenagers, orthodontic treatment is a part of life – an essential part of life - because a beautiful and healthy facial profile and smile can boost one’s self-confidence.

Adult Treatment:
More and more adults are seeking an orthodontic specialist to improve their cosmetic appearance, smile, and occlusion. At Brockman Orthodontics, we provide full-scope orthodontic procedures. This includes everything from limited treatment with clear aligners, to a complete facial transformation with traditional orthodontics and surgery when indicated.
Orthodontic treatment is not only designed to improve your cosmetic appearance, but also to improve the health of your teeth and surrounding structures. By seeking orthodontic treatment as an adult, you can decrease the progression of gum disease, provide adequate space for implants or cosmetic crowns, avoid severe irregular wear of the tooth enamel, and decrease jaw pain. With surgical orthodontic procedures, we can correct an improper position of jaws, facial bones, or teeth. This is a team approach with an oral surgeon or plastic surgeon.
We also provide a wide variety of minimally invasive in-office procedures. This includes various procedures with temporary anchorage devices (TADS), correction of gingival tissues, and exposure of impacted or partially impacted teeth. All these minimally invasive procedures provide options to the patient that does not want to undergo more invasive surgical procedures, as well as saving you time and money on referrals to other specialists.
Adults tend to be very compliant with treatment protocols, this allows us to make more treatment options available to them. These options include clear braces, clear aligner treatment, limited correction treatment, and minimally invasive procedures that accelerate tooth movement.
By offering a full scope of surgical, non-surgical, and limited treatment options, we can meet the individual needs and desires of each of our adult patients. We are confident we can help you achieve and maintain the beautiful, healthy results you’ve always dreamed about.
Don’t ever feel it’s too late to achieve the smile you have always wanted!
